Kerstin Polte – Director, Writer
Kerstin Polte is a director and screenwriter, founder of Serienwerk and part of the feminist filmmaker collective r.O.K.S. She completed her film training in Canada, Karlsruhe and at the Zurich University of the Arts. She was a scholarship holder of the Drehbuchwerkstatt München and the European directing program EKRAN. Her graduation film “510 Meter über dem Meer” screened at over 150 international film festivals. “Letzte Runde” premiered at the Locarno Film Festival. In 2017, her award-winning queer documentary “Kein Zickenfox” was released in cinemas. Her feature film “Wer hat eigentlich die Liebe erfunden?” – starring Corinna Harfouch, Meret Becker – was awarded the Bavarian Film Prize, among others. Her TV movie “Immer der Nase nach” (with Claudia Michelsen, Corinna Harfouch and others) has recently been broadcast. In addition, this year she was part of the directing team for the queer series “Wir” (ZDF Mediathek). Currently she is preparing her feature film “Blindgänger” and is developing various series and TV projects.
