Katrin Sikora – Autorin, Regisseurin

Katrin is a graduate of Johannes Gutenberg University’s film and media science program. Today she lives in Stuttgart and Berlin and works as a concept developer, author and director across various media formats.

In 2019 her first documentary short film “Börchen Spielt Jetzt” celebrated its premiere at the “FILMZ – Festival of German Films”. With her short film “Fenstervisite” she was one of the winners of the documentary film competition “Love in Times of Corona” by the MFG film funding and broadcaster SWR in 2020. As a creative conceptor, Katrin has developed and implemented numerous formats and campaign media. She also works as a speaker and publishes short stories, most recently “The Past Days” (in “Texted – Features for Poetry-Language-Controversy-Culture” | 9/10 2020) and “2020, March perhaps” (in “Perspective” | 104/105).

Drawing from her interdisciplinary background, her work tends to confront societal issues and cultural phenomenons, often in terms of their impact on women and border-crossers of all types.
